Plans we accept
- Wellpoint
- Fidelis Care
Coverage depends on your specific plan. Have a different insurance? Call us and we'll let you know what your options are.
How it works
- You call or request a call back. We'll ask for your child's insurance information and a few details about your child.
- We check your benefits. We confirm what your plan covers for DIR Floortime before services begin.
- We request authorization. Most plans require approval before therapy starts. We prepare and submit the request, and we keep you updated while we wait.
- The assessment. Once approved, we complete a thorough developmental assessment over several visits and write your child's goals.
- Sessions begin. We request ongoing authorization for in-home Floortime based on the treatment plan, and reassess regularly to keep services going.
What you'll need
- Your child's insurance card
- Your child's diagnosis report (insurance plans generally require a diagnosis for coverage)
- Any recent evaluations, such as from a developmental pediatrician, neurologist, psychologist or school
Don't have a diagnosis yet? Reach out anyway. We'll talk through next steps with you.
What if a request is denied?
Denials happen, and they're often not the final word. We can help with the documentation for an appeal, explaining your child's needs and why the recommended services are medically necessary.
Common questions
Will I have to pay anything out of pocket?
It depends on your plan. We'll go over what your benefits cover when we check them, before services start.
How long does authorization take?
It varies by plan. We submit requests promptly and keep you updated so you're never left wondering.
